Franz Kafka

✱ The Note

Franz Kafka was a German-language writer from Prague whose fiction turns ordinary situations into unsettling encounters with authority and uncertainty. His works include The Metamorphosis, The Trial and The Castle. With precise, often darkly comic prose, he explores alienation, guilt and the struggle to understand systems that refuse to explain themselves.
