Moshfegh Ottessa

✱ The Note

Ottessa Moshfegh is an American novelist and short-story writer whose books include Eileen, My Year of Rest and Relaxation and Lapvona. Her unsettling fiction explores isolation, disgust and self-deception, finding dark comedy in characters whose private impulses sit uneasily with acceptable social behaviour.
